Aspen Aerogels, a company that specializes in energy-efficient insulation products, is expanding its East Providence facility, a $30 million project.
According to a press release from the company, this is the first step in its long-term strategy to expand production capacity, as the project – called “line 3” – will increase the facility’s capacity by 25 percent to meet growing customer demand.
Jeffrey Ball, Aspen’s vice president of engineering, said the expansion project is “the fastest and most efficient path to additional top- and bottom-line growth.”
