Lilliputian Systems to expand, add 100 jobs

Lilliputian Systems Inc. will expand its Wilmington, Mass., power systems manufacturing plant and add 100 clean tech jobs, Gov. Deval Patrick announced Wednesday.

The startup makes micro fuel cell batteries for mobile devices that claim to be ten times more efficient that traditional batteries. It expects to launch the product in limited quantities in late 2009.

“We are determined to make this commonwealth the global leader in clean tech,” Patrick said in a statement. “This industry continues to prosper in spite of the softening global economy and Lilliputian Systems is a great example.
