Market drivers which create opportunity in the Process and Prevention sector include advances in sensors, instrumentation & networks, advanced industrial processes characterized by a customized approach to manufacturing, increased efficiencies at smaller scales, decreased availability of material inputs, the proliferation of software know-how through traditional industries, and increased control and decreased liability from distributed infrastructure and waste handling.
